Swim Any Sea

My love, it was wide as the ocean, and buried his head in the sand
I was filled with unbridled emotion, turned to dust at the touch of his hand
But the powers of nature decided he should always be parted from me
And since nobody loved him like I did, oh I swore I would swim any sea
Woah, you're part of my soul
As if somebody out there was waiting for me
I'd move any mountain to bring you back home
Oh my love, for to find you, I'd swim any sea
We were people from all different places, and we worked against famine and pain
And I loved him with endless amazement without even knowing his name
When he said it was me who amazed him it was more than I'd ever believed
Blew a kiss for me as he was leaving, and said "Darling I'd swim any sea."
Woah, you're part of my soul
As if somebody out there was waiting for me
I'd move any mountain to bring you back home
Oh my love, for to find you, I'd swim any sea
When our paths crossed again we were travelling, with still many journeys to go
And we said we'd be married in springtime, as soon as we made our way home
Now bearing in mind this is long since, and he's always been just out of reach
I don't think I've had too many chances to say "Darling, I'd swim any sea."
Woah, you're part of my soul
As if somebody out there was waiting for me
I'd move any mountain to bring you back home
Oh my love, for to find you, I'd swim any sea
Well a storm hit the boat that we road in and raged for a night and a day
And a wave like a goddess came crashing, and my love, he got carried away
And when the storm passed I was nowhere, and my love was nowhere to be seen
Got no love and no boat, but I know how to float, and he promised he'd swim any sea
Woah, you're part of my soul
As if somebody out there was waiting for me
I'd move any mountain to bring you back home
Oh my love, for to find you, I'd swim any sea
Some say that love is a journey, and some say that love is a war
When we met he lit something within me I know hadn't been there before
For some, love is all in the searching, and for some loves it's not meant to be
But as long as I've hope, I'll have meaning - and a reason to swim any sea
Woah, you're part of my soul
As if somebody out there was waiting for me
I'd move any mountain to bring you back home
Oh my love, for to find you, I'd swim any sea
