Wish You Were

If you were here, you would know what it means when I close my eyes
If you were here, you would see what I see when I'm burning inside
You could reach me when I am lost to myself and bring me back with a single word
I know it would all be OK, if you were here, and I wish you were
If you were here, I would be yours 'til the day I die
Lay my heart down at heaven's doors, sell my soul on a lie
I would be where I wanted to be for the whole of my life if you'd found me first
And cast all of my demons aside, if you were here, and I wish you were
If you were here, I would give myself up to you body and soul
Let myself break down into dust to be finally whole
'Cause I know beyond doubt or deceit, there is no-one like you upon this earth
And no-one could ever touch me, if you were here, and I wish you were
I'd be open to all that I feel, if you were here, and I wish you were
