Hi all, hope you’re doing ok and finding ways to adapt to the current whateveritis we’re dealing with.
In the spirit of adapting to the current situation I have discovered an absolute love of livestreaming from the comfort of my living room! I think this ultimately has a lot to do with needing to keep contact with other people as much as anything and finding some kind of purpose - now seems to be a good time for music. Whoever said art is how we decorate space, music is how we decorate time, well we sure have a lot of time to decorate right now and there’s no shortage of live music going on which is great. For me I think it’ll outlast the lockdown and there are some very good reasons for this -
For the kind of songs I write, intimate settings have pretty much always worked best. Playing the songs where they get written just seems totally natural.
Coming live to you in your own home, you can get into the emotions however you like (keep those precious tissues handy!)
The timings can be flexible, with more daytime sessions, and I can control the set-up, which means -
I’m way more comfortable, and less nervous, and get much more into the emotions too, which means better versions of the songs.
I’m not saving/recording or posting the live sessions so feel free to join in and comment at will.
At the moment you can find me on Instagram and Facebook at various times - feel free to pop in and out or just leave me on in the background! It’s a short step from livestreaming to creating more videos too so expect some new things appearing shortly.
